Chew Magna is a fully maintained Primary School serving the beautiful village of Chew Magna and the surrounding area.
There has been a school here for the past three centuries and the present buildings have been in use for just over one hundred years.
During this time various modernisations have taken place, and recent improvements ensure that the school is able to deliver a modern and forward-looking curriculum in pleasant surroundings.
In Federation with St Julian’s Primary and Shoscombe Primary
Our school has been serving the village community of Camerton and the surrounding areas since 1846. We are an inclusive school…you don’t have to live in the village to attend our school!
Since September 2010, we have been working collaboratively with St Julian’s Church School enabling us to provide a well-aimed and balanced programme, a friendly atmosphere, well prepared staff and the opportunity for Clubs, Trips, and Meetings by the children from both schools.
Our school places children at the heart of everything that we do. That is why OfSTED said that we are an outstanding school providing “an outstanding quality of education for all our pupils”.
Children, staff and governors share an enormous pride in our school where every opportunity is offered to inspire children in their learning. At Cameley Primary School, we endeavour to encourage and develop values which matter both within our school and in the wider community.
Bathwick St. Mary School is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School, providing education for children from 4-11 years of age. As a Church of England Voluntary Aided school, our Christian Foundation is just that – the base on which we build our school community life. We expect everyone to love their neighbour as Jesus loves us and we keep the ‘Commitment to Care’ at the core of our policies.
