We are a school which offers a real commitment to developing your child as an individual. We provide a creative, engaging and balanced curriculum that encourages all pupils to achieve their full potential. Our school has a great variety of strengths which include a strong Arts tradition, good standards of behaviour, a real enthusiasm for celebrating talents, skills and interests and a firm commitment to providing a high quality learning experience for the children in our school.
Welcome to Widcombe Infant School . Our aim is to provide an excellent education for individual children. It is fundamental that children are happy and secure at school, so that effective learning can take place within a positive, stimulating environment. Each child is treated as an individual with their unique talents and needs. A mixture of teaching styles is used.
Our school is on a large site. We have a beautiful new school which has replaced the old junior building. Our pupils have access to 9 play zones, a variety of gardening opportunities, an outdoor stage, a story circle, grassy hill "forts". These were particularly requested by the pupils before we moved in our new home and subsequently were incorporated into the design. In addition to this pupils enjoy a mini-lake with an enchanted island, again at the request of the pupils. Our younger members of the school enjoy an outdoor mini forest environment.

Swainswick School is a Church of England Primary School situated in the village of Upper Swainswick
We are a small school of 80 pupils and so all the children and adults know each other and developing positive relationships is a priority. Each child is known and nurtured and individuals are valued as unique human beings. Differences are recognised and each person plays their part in developing the school community. The children learn to feel good about themselves, and how to care for others.

We are a small village school set in a stunning, rural location, five miles south of the World Heritage City of Bath.

To achieve this we provide a secure and happy working environment where everyone is valued, and where achievements are recognised and celebrated.
