Bath and North East Somerset generally has healthy, safe communities with overall levels of deprivation well below the national average. In addition, although crime levels are low, fear of crime, disorder and anti social behaviour are priorities for local people. The Local Community Safety Partnership has also given high priority to reducing domestic violence and addressing hate crime. In doing this it has worked across partner agencies including the office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
The Council also works closely with Police staff that are now colocated in or new Keynsham 'one stop shop'. The Council also works closely with the Police's new Lighthouse scheme which supports victims of crime and anti-social behaviour.
