Grants of up to £10,000 are available to UK charitable organisations, including Community Interest Companies, that are working to promote non-violence against young people and support victims of violent crime and terrorism.
The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation was founded in Liverpool in 1995, 2 years after the IRA bombing of Warrington that killed Tim Parry and Johnathan Ball. Tim’s parents, Wendy and Colin Parry, created the charity and built a Peace Centre as a living memorial to the two boys. The Peace Centre was opened in March 2000 by the Foundation's Chief Patron, HRH The Duchess of Kent.
In March 2025, the Foundation became a grant-making organisation when the Peace Centre was sold to the local authority and converted into a 6th form college for young people with special educational needs - a dedicated modern facility for post-16 and post-19 students.
The Foundation provides grants for UK charities, not-for-profit organisations and Community Interest Companies that promote non-violence against young people and support victims of violent crime and terrorism.
Grants are available for:
- Organisations helping adults and young people who are victims of violence due to their gender, ethnicity, faith, or race and those at risk of being affected by societal violence.
- Organisations promoting non-violence in schools and further education.
- Organisations working with victims of terrorism and their families.
- Organisations helping people to build the skills and resilience to make the right life choices.
- Charities registered with the Charity Commission and other ‘not for profit’ organisations. Applicants that are a Company limited by Guarantee must be registered with Companies House, and
- Salaries associated with a funded project
Smaller charitable organisations that can demonstrate strong community links and that a grant award will improve young people’s lives, and organisations working with victims of violence or extremism based on political affiliation, race, gender, and/or faith, are likely to be prioritised for grant support.

Applications may be submitted at any time. Further information, guidance and an online application form can be found on the Foundation’s website. Applicants are expected to be notified of the outcome of their application within 3 months of the date of receipt.
