Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to UK registered charities for humanitarian causes in the United Kingdom and/or overseas, particularly for the relief of suffering and supporting people at risk of harm.
Generally, the Blyth Watson Charitable Trust awards small grants to UK registered charities. It prefers to support smaller, more local groups, rather than large national charities. However, the trustees are considering making several significant one-off grants of £10,000 to £15,000 to a small number of charities.
The Trust’s main area of interest is supporting humanitarian causes, particularly:
- The welfare of humanity, especially in acting to improve the living conditions of people who are impoverished or disadvantaged, and
- Supporting people who are in danger of harm or death.
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
Applications may be made at any time in writing and are considered at the Trust’s meeting in either July or December.
