NOTICE is hereby given that Bath & North East Somerset Council, as the Highways Authority, proposes to fell this street tree, Ostrya carpinifolia, which is situated on Shakespeare Avenue, Bath BA2 4RF (tree no. 321601).
The tree roots have begun to impact on the adjacent wall and step, causing movement, and as the tree is early mature, this will increase as the tree grows larger. The tree is to be removed to prevent any further movement of the adjacent step and wall.
A replacement tree will be planted nearby within the conservation area of Bath.
