(25-066) (VARIOUS ROADS, TEMPLE CLOUD)

NOTICE is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council has made an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be that it is prohibited to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding those miles per hour and on the lengths of road listed below. 

 

Footpath Silver Street to Nightingale Way, Midsomer Norton

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a footpath closure in that length of Footpath Silver Street to Nightingale Way, Midsomer Norton from its junction with Nightingale Way extending north west for approximately 18 metres. Grange Road, Saltford

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Grange Road, Saltford from a point outside 37 Grange Road. USRN: 47902996.

 

Widcombe Rise, Widcombe, Bath

Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a footpath closure in that length of Widcombe Rise, Widcombe, Bath at its junction with Prior Park Road. Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Camerton Hill, Camerton, Bath from a point opposite the property known as Wayfarers Cottage. Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Steel Mills, Keynsham from a point outside the property known as The Steel Mill extending north east for approximately 100 metres. Waste and recycling planning guidance

The guidance intends to help developers produce successful waste management strategies at an early stage. It has been developed by the waste services team in consultation with colleagues in Planning and Highways. A review of best practice in other local authorities has also informed the process.

Details

We will charge all new residential developments for their first set of containers. 

Bin types and prices (1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027)

Communal bins (block of flats and student accommodation)

Developers must purchase communal recycling bins directly from us. The list below shows the cost per unit and delivery charge:

  • 360 litre: £40.25
  • 240 litre: £20.58
  • 140 litre: £43.61
  • 5 litre food caddy: £1.73
  • Delivery charge (per set of communal bins): £45.41

We do not provide communal bins for residual waste. Developers are responsible for procuring and maintaining the agreed number of these.

Kerbside containers (for individual houses and estates)

Developers must purchase kerbside containers in bulk and distribute them to each property. The list below shows the cost per unit and bulk delivery charge.

  • 140 litre refuse bin: £16.72
  • 55 litre recycling box: £6.91
  • 23 litre food bin: £4.94
  • 5 litre food caddy: £1.73
  • 91 litre blue bag: £1.87
  • Delivery charge (per set of 10 containers): £45.41
