Sport and Active Leisure is aiming to encourage the residents of Bath & North East Somerset to become more active!  To do this and stay healthy, we should all aim to be active for 30 minutes on 5 days each week. But this daily 30 minutes can be done in chunks of time - it doesn't have to be in one session.

We are promoting the benefits of both walking and cycling to start you on your road to activity and are working in partnership with B&NES Primary Care Trust in order to have a co-ordinated approach to health in the Authority, along with the Council’s Environmental and Consumer Services.  We also work closely with both these agencies and Education on promoting the Healthy Schools Government initiative.
