Welcome to the Adult Social Care Commissioning pages
We have recently introduced two frameworks which make it simpler for us to work with providers to arrange care for our local residents. A framework is a means for organisations such as Care Homes and Homecare providers to agree to work with us to provide care. Once a provider has applied and been approved to join our framework, we will approach them first when we are looking to arrange care on behalf of our local residents. This enables us to work more closely with providers to ensure that services are good quality and help local people to live independently for as long as they wish to. See below for more information.
- Information about care and support
- Information about homecare services that may be available to you
- Care home information
Brokerage
We arrange care via our frameworks through a process called brokerage that supports people who use services to exercise choice and control, by helping them find the services they need. It also assists in identifying gaps in the market for care services in B&NES, so we can work with providers to meet those needs. We have a brokerage policy which sets out how we will find care.
