Here are the winners for the B&NES Anti Racism Creative Writing Competition for young people

The competition was launched in Autumn 2019 and publicised to schools and other settings across B&NES.  The judging panel comprised of award winning Playwright Dougie Blaxland; Alex Raikes (Director of SARI); Kishore Narain (SARI) and Louise Murphy (B&NES Council).

Winner – Younger age group - Martha Hammond (Hayesfield Girls School) – ‘My anti-racism story’ 

Winner – Older age group – Teya Beggan (Former St Gregory’s pupil) – ‘Hurt’  

Winner – Spoken word/poetic piece - Amelia Rodriques-Dawkins – (Former Writhlington pupil) Amelia's entry
