Act now so Bath & North East Somerset Council can confirm who is eligible to be registered to vote at your address

Bath & North East Somerset Council has started its annual canvass to ensure that the electoral register is complete and accurate.

The week beginning on Monday 26 July almost 40,000 households in Bath and North East Somerset will receive an email from the Electoral Registration Office inviting residents to check their electoral registration details via

Between Monday 2 August and Monday 9 August the remaining 40,000 households in the area will receive in the post correspondence from the Electoral Registration Office with instructions on what action they need to take.

It is important that residents keep an eye out for messages from us so we can make sure that we have the right details on the electoral register for every address in Bath and North East Somerset.

This year the annual canvass, which we have to carry out by law, is taking place during a challenging public health crisis. We are working to ensure that we take account of public health guidelines. We aim to use digital communications wherever possible and we invite residents to consider using the digital channels we have set up for their response.
