Coronavirus precautions in parks
Please follow government advice:
Stay at home
- Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
- If you go out, stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people at all times
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home
Do not meet others, even friends or family. You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.
You are welcome to use parks and green spaces for health reasons as long as you follow social distancing rules above. This may even mean not entering a park if it is already busy.
To maintain safety for the public; children’s play areas are closed, non-essential parks operations are currently suspended, and cafes and kiosks are closed.

STAY HOME. SAVE LIVES. PROTECT THE NHS
These delightful 1 hectare (2 and half acre) gardens are Bath's most centrally situated pleasure grounds. Overlooking the River Avon they give fine views of Pulteney Bridge and the weir; a popular choice for Weddings, celebrations and photos.
The bedding displays are among the finest in the country and the annual 3-dimensional carpet bedding in the summer is unique. In 2013, Bath was a Gold award winner in the RHS Britain in Bloom competition with Parade Gardens also winning the RHS Britain in Bloom Edible Britain award. The entry included a 100 ft border of vegetables for all to enjoy, and a 3D sculpture of the TV characters 'The Herbs' .
For more information about the fascinating history of Parade Gardens take a look at our welcome leaflet which is also available in hard copy from the entrance kiosk at the park.
Band concerts are held in the bandstand throughout the summer months. Please see the Band Concerts page for the timetable of concerts. For more information about Parks and Events follow us on Twitter, @BathnesParks.
It is possible to hire the bandstand or riverside colonnades in Parade Gardens as a wedding venue and an area of the park can also be used for wedding and drinks receptions. Please see our website Heritage Park Weddings for more information, or contact us at 01225 395014

How do I book Parade Gardens in advance for photographs?
Parties may enter the gardens as a group (of 30 or more) on prepayment of a fee of £1.25 per person, provided a minimum of one week's notice has been given. Many people feel that this makes the special day run more smoothly as it avoids queuing at the payment kiosk. For those not wishing to use this service, then the usual entry fees apply. For further information or to book and pay by credit or debit card, please call between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to noon on a Friday.
We will email your receipt and entry license to you. Please keep this to show the kiosk on the day as proof of purchase.
You may wish to consider holding your post wedding reception in the Guildhall Bath. To find out further information on this and other approved venues, please contact Sara Brooks on 01225 47 7442 or email Sara_brooks@bathnes.gov.uk.
