All major* development and proposals for waste development or mineral working.

Applications for major developments need to be supported by a statement setting out how the applicant has complied with the requirements for pre-application consultation set out in the Council’s Neighbourhood Planning Protocol document. The statement should demonstrate that the views of the local community have been sought and taken into account in the formulation of development proposals.

The ‘Ground Rules’ for community involvement on planning applications are set out in Chapter 2 of the Neighbourhood Planning Protocol. A link to the full document can be found on the right of this page.

*Major applications are developments of 10 or more dwellings, residential sites of 0.5 ha or more, and other buildings with a floor space of 1,000m sq or on sites of 1 ha or more, and all waste applications.
