The case for a new transport link between the M4 and the ports of Poole and Southampton has been published.
Bath & North East Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset and Poole councils, together with local enterprise partnerships, and the West of England Combined Authority have published the South of England North-South Connectivity Prospectus that highlights the key outcomes from improved connectivity including an additional £20.5 billion generated to the economy and 1,400 new jobs each year. Next Steps
We are therefore seeking a commitment from Government to commission a Strategic Study as soon as possible that further develops the economic case to a level of detail suitable for funding and delivery.
