Crime, community confidence and anti-social behaviour are all matters that impact on the quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors to Bath and North East Somerset.

This Joint Community Safety Plan 2018-21 sets out the joint community safety work to be carried out in Bath and North East Somerset by the Community Safety Partnership and Police and Crime Commissioner over the next three years. It reflects the outcomes of the Council Scrutiny Inquiry Day on Community Safety, which identified in particular the benefits of partnership working and recommended that such a joint plan be progressed.  The Plan addresses key issues relating to crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour in Bath and North East Somerset.

The Community Safety Partnership (known as the Responsible Authorities Group) comprises senior managers from the statutory agencies, an elected Council Member and third sector partners who pool their combined knowledge, skills and resources to identify the key community safety and crime issues within our communities and understand clearly how best to tackle them together.

The Responsible Authorities Group comprises:

Bath & North East Somerset Council

BaNES Clinical Commissioning Group;

Lighthouse, Avon & Somerset Police;

Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire Community Rehabilitation Company Ltd;
