British Food Fortnight 2017 - 23rd September - 8th October

British Food Fortnight is a national annual celebration of British Food and Drink taking place from 23rd September – 8th October. This year it coincides with summer harvest festivities and provides an opportunity for producers and retailers to share their passion for local food and drink by promoting special offers and hosting events.

Building on the success of last year Bath and North East Somerset Council is once again supporting British Food Fortnight by promoting activities, events, tastings and promotions that celebrate local food and drink. (If you didn’t hear about the award local community groups and organisations won last year, read about it here.)

There are a variety of ways to take part, whether you are a producer, retailer, caterer, food service, community group or teacher, there are opportunities for you to be part of the celebration. This could involve organising an event, giving an existing activity a local food & drink theme, or participate online through social media or writing a blog.

We've compiled a round-up of local and seasonal food related events and activities around Bath and North East Someset. Download the 2017 Programme.
