Local Flood Risk Management Strategy - draft for consultation

Under the Flood and Water Management Act (2010), Bath & North East Somerset Council is a Lead Local Flood Authority This means the Council has powers and responsibilities for managing local flood risk. This includes flooding from surface water, groundwater and ordinary watercourses (commonly small streams and ditches).

The Council, along with our partners, is committed to taking action to reduce the risk of flooding. As part of this commitment, and in line with our statutory duty, we are preparing our Local Flood Risk Management Strategy.

Consultation Results

All the comments received through the consultation process will be considered.  Where possible and practical they will be used to help inform revisions to the document. We hope that the Strategy will be completed towards the end of 2015.
