 Permit Information
  • Please note that visitor’s permits are not available to Central Zone residents.
  • Visitor’s permits are available as either a electronic card or in the more traditional paper format.
Electronic Permit

  • This is an electronic permit that you activate and deactivate by telephone or via the Parkmobile website giving you complete flexibility over your visitor’s parking requirements.
  • You will be allocated a maximum of 1000 parking hours per household per annum in minimum blocks of 50 hours. The advantage of this system is that you only use the actual hours your visitors stay.
  • It will be your responsibility to ensure the permit is activated when required.  If you forget it the permit will automatically deactivate after 48 hours, but you will only be debited parking hours between 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday. You must ensure that the permit is reactivated if necessary.
  •  You will be allocated one visitors electronic permit but you can request additional cards up to a maximum of four to cater for multiple visitors. Holding multiple cards will not increase your allocated hours.
 Paper Permit
  • You will be allocated a maximum of 100 paper permits per household per annum in minimum blocks of 5 permits.
  • Each permit is valid for one calendar day, regardless of the duration of time parked.
  • The permit has to be validated in ink with the date and the vehicle registration in which it is displayed.
  • If you have multiple visitors in one day each visitor must be issued with a permit.
  • If your visitor(s) is staying for a number of days a new permit must be displayed for each calendar day.
  • It will be seen that the electronic permit offers more flexibility and better value for money for those residents who have frequent short stay visitors, but permits can be purchased in either format, or a combination of the two, subject to your maximum allocation.
  • Parking hours or paper permits are valid for one year from date of purchase and can be purchased in blocks as required.
  • Unless you are confident that you will use all of the permits or parking hours within one year, please do not purchase your full allocation straight away as refunds cannot be given
  • Please note: The old style blue paper visitor permits which were issued prior to November 2005 are no longer valid. No refunds can be made.
