Street Parking Permits

General Information

There are 2 main permit areas – the Central Zone in Bath and the Bath Outer Residential Parking Zone (which is split into 16 areas).
In the Central Zone, one permit is available per household which can have up to 2 registrations on it.
In the Outer Zones where the pressure for parking space is less, there are 2 permits per household available with permits also available for businesses.
There is also a residents permits zone in Keynsham.
Other types of permit are also available.
If you are moving in give us a call beforehand – we may be able to help with reserving space for your removal lorry.
If you are moving out the same applies but in addition make sure that you return your old parking permits – they are refundable for months left unused and if you do not return them, the new owners will not be able to get a permit for themselves.
In the central parking zone there is on street Pay & Display. Depending on the area this is either available for one or two hours, which will be indicated by road signs.
Please note that the number within a black box on permit holders parking signs corresponds to the permit zone number.
