Unclogging the roads
Bath and North East Somerset Council is looking closely at ways to unclog our roads. This includes managing the number of HGVs travelling into and through Bath city centre. It also means managing traffic flows more effectively so that vehicles can reach their destination more easily.
Bristol City Council has set up a successful transhipment depot
The Council wants Bath to be a city that regards access for pedestrians and cyclists as a priority in the centre, and where public transport can move around easily. Ensuring there are fewer HGVs and the road network is as free-flowing as possible will help us achieve this aim.
