The Equality Act 2010 public sector equality duty requires public authorities to demonstrate that they have paid 'due regard' to the need to

  • eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation
  • advance equality of opportunity
  • foster good relations between people

We carry out and publish equality impact assessments as this helps us to meet the duty and demonstrate how we are doing so.  We welcome your views and comments - please contact the officer(s) who undertook the assessments (contact details are contained within each of the individual reports).
