NOTICE is given that on 19th April 2017 the Bath and North East Somerset Council made the following order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) the effect of which will;


 


·         Introduce a cycle contra-flow  in a length of High Street, Keynsham from its junction with Bath Hill East and heading north to its junction with Charlton Road as set out in Schedules 1 and 2 of this Notice


·         Disallow vehicles to turn either right or left into the roads in Keynsham as set out in Schedules 3, 4 and 5 of this Notice


·         Add or remove sections of the bus stop clearway, pedestrian crossing and no parking at any time restrictions in High Street Keynsham


 


Objections and representations to the experimental order being made permanent, together with the grounds on which they are made, should be sent either in writing to the Transportation Team at the address below, or by email to transportation@bathnes.gov.uk, quoting reference PEV12492/AC and the title of the Order: (High Street, Keynsham) (Experimental) Order 201* within a period of 6 months, beginning with the day on which the experimental order comes into force, or if the order is varied by another order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Act, beginning with the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force.


 


The Council will consider in due course whether the provisions contained in the experimental order should be continued indefinitely.  At that time any objections and representations received will be given consideration.  Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.


 


 The order will come into operation on 2nd May 2017 and a copy, together with a map and a Statement of the Council's Reasons for making the order may be inspected at The One Stop Shops at Manvers Street, Bath and at Keynsham Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours.


 


Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
