Draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan 2018-2026

Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council and South Gloucestershire Council have jointly produced a new draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) to cover the period up until 2026.  The ROWIP is intended to set out an assessment of the current rights of way network and identify strategic steps which the Councils intend to take in partnership with various stakeholders to improve the network for the benefit of the public.  The draft ROWIP contains a particular emphasis on improving the way that the network is managed in the context of challenging public finances and addressing the challenges and opportunities which arise as a result of the continued high level of development within the three Council areas. A key aim is to increase use of the rights of way network, particularly amongst ethnic minorities and members of the public with disabilities.

The draft ROWIP can be downloaded by clicking here.  If you could like to comment on the draft ROWIP, please ensure your comments are received by the Council no later than
31st August 2018.  Comments can be sent by email to prow@bathnes.gov.uk or by post to Public Rights of Way, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Lewis House, Manvers Street, Bath, BA1 1JG.
