There are three volunteer groups within Bath and North East Somerset who work with the Council to carry out works on the path network.  The groups are vital in helping to improve the network for members of the public and they carry out works such as installing kissing gates, building steps and clearing vegetation.  As well as making a meaningful difference on the ground, volunteering is also a great way to meet new people and get out in the great outdoors.  The three groups are:

Avon Ramblers' Association BRAM Team - The BRAM Team cover all of Bath and North East Somerset outside of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Cotswold Wardens - The Cotswold Wardens cover the section of Bath and North East Somerset which lies within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Mendip Ramblers' Association Volunteers - The Mendip Ramblers cover the section of Bath and North East Somerset which lies within the Mendips Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

If you would be interested in volunteering please contact the groups directly or contact the Public Rights of Way Team on 01225 477532 or by email at prow@bathnes.gov.uk

All volunteers and contractors work in accordance with our Safe Working Manual.
