The first Sydney Gardens masterplan design public consultation opened on Saturday 25th November 2017 at the Gardener's Lodge in Sydney Gardens, Bath.  The project Landscape Architects LDA Design were there, along with the project team, to answer questions and discuss plans. Over 75 people came to see the plans.

We also opened the historic Gents toilet for people to look inside and lots of vistors of all ages explored our recently recreated historic Labyrinth, which has been mown into the overgrown Bowls Club Lawn.  We also ran an online public consultation about the design plans for 21 days through November and December 2017.

As a result of this consultation and feedback, we updated the design and restoration plan for Sydney Gardens in April 2018.  This update included the reinstatement of two tennis courts that had previously been excluded from the restoration project, creating a total of four tennis courts in the revised plan for the park. View the PDF of the design plans from our April 2018 exhibition here

We held a design exhibition in Sydney Gardens as part of the Friends of Sydney Gardens Community Day in April 2018, alongside a two week exhibition in Bath Central Library in May 2018.  Hundreds of people viewed this exhibition and the updated plans, and over 90 people submitted comments and feedback.
