Saturday 25th November 2017: Public consultation on Sydney Gardens design updates

Drop in anytime between 11.30am and 4.30pm at the Gardener's Lodge down by the main entrance to the park. Come and see the updated design plans, give feedback and share your ideas with the project team. The project Landscape Architects LDA Design will also be there to answer questions and discuss the plans.

The historic Gents toilet will also be opened up for a few people at a time to take a closer look and discuss conservation options. And our recently recreated Labyrinth which has been mown into the overgrown former Bowls Club Lawn will also be open for you to explore.

Sunday 19th November 2017:  Recreating the Labyrinth on the former Bowls Club Lawn

Join the project team to help mark out the historic Labyrinth pattern ready for mowing into the overgrown Bowls Club Lawn. We are recreating (as closely as we can) the design of the historical labyrinth that was an attraction of Georgian Sydney Gardens.

Drop in or come for the whole session from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Meet at the the old Bowls Club pavilion which will be open for us to make hot drinks and for toilets. Wear warm clothing! If it's the odd shower of rain, we'll be there, but if it's pouring, we'll postpone! All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This activity isn't suitable for very young children as it's a lot of measuring and pegs! - although you're welcome to drop by and have a look, and we will have some drawing activity so all ages can contribute. Any questions, contact our community ranger Sue Palmer.
