The recruitment website for Bath & North East Somerset Council is aimed at anyone who would like fast, easy access to information on current vacancies within the council as well as many of our local schools.
We hope it will save you time when applying for a vacancy and be easy to use.
We hope you can find the job that's just right for you using the Search facility, which can filter by keyword, closing date, salary range, workplace, contract type or working hours. Most adverts for council posts and school vacancies carry a link to a detailed job description and person specification, as well as our online application form.

Before you can apply online for a vacancy, you need to create an account by setting up a username and providing an email address. An e-mail welcome message will then be sent to you with further instructions.
As we are working in partnership with North Somerset Council, the email you receive will be from firstname.lastname@example.org. Our recruitment websites are entirely separate and you will need to register separately with each if you wish to receive details of vacancies in both organisations. All information remains confidential to Bath & North East Somerset Council and data for each organisation is held separately.
You will need to follow the link in the email to choose a password and set up any job alerts that may be of interest to you. Passwords must contain at least one capital letter and one number with a minimum of eight digits in all.
Once you have logged in, you can complete the application form a section at a time – expand each section by clicking the blue headings. An application can be saved at any point and returned to later as long as the closing date for the job has not passed. You will receive an email reminding you to complete your application form before the closing date.
Once you have completed your application form you can click on “Application Review” button at the bottom of the form. This will show you how your completed application form will look. Take some time to check the information you have provided for errors. You can then go back to the form and amend where necessary.
When you are happy with your B&NES application form you can ‘Submit’ your application. It will be sent directly to Recruitment Team and an acknowledgement email will be sent to you from email@example.com. Please note that North Somerset Council do not have access to your submitted form.

Once you have registered, you can sign up to receive details by e-mail on new B&NES vacancies you are interested in. Registering also allows you to Bookmark Jobs you may be interested in as well as giving you access to your saved applications.

All vacancies close for application at midnight on the date specified in the advert. Therefore the online application facility will not be available after midnight on the closing date.
