Revitalising our landscape for people, communities and heritage

The vision: The Bathscape scheme will ensure Bath and its setting is better recognised, managed and experienced as a landscape city, with the surrounding hills and valleys blending with the World Heritage Site and actively enjoyed by all. A greater number and wider range of people will feel connected to their local landscape and inspired to explore the outstanding built and natural environments, improving health and wellbeing.

Bathscape Landscape Partnership is a Heritage Lottery Fund supported project aimed at reconnecting people with the natural landscape surrounding Bath.  Bathscape was awarded a development grant from HLF in November 2016 and submitted a Round 2 application in June 2018 to fund delivery between 2018 and 2023. There are 25 projects across four themes – summarised in the pdf document below.

Bathscape are recruiting a volunteer Co-ordinator and Support Officer post

Join Bathscape at the beginning of a five year programme of events and activities aimed at reconnecting people to the countryside around Bath.  Working as part of a small team and with our Partners you will help recruit and support over 700 volunteers, encouraging them to take part and to develop new skills, whilst tracking their progress. You will coordinate the work that they do, which will mainly be outdoor practical conservation and people engagement roles. There will be opportunities for developing our social media and communication strategy.  For details see the jobs area of the website (search for Bathscape Volunteer Co-ordinator).
