What is the Baby Quality Toolkit?

The aim of the toolkit is to help you as a setting to reflect on your current practice by using a range of activities and audit tools. The Baby Quality Toolkit will support settings wanting to develop the provision offered to children aged 0 -2 year old, regardless of each setting’s starting point.

The toolkit will support you in:

  1. Evaluating your baby provision, to identify what is going well and what could be improved.
  2. Improving identified areas, through a range of activities and resources.
  3. Working with parents/carers, to support the development of babies including transitions.

The toolkit will encourage you to identify and celebrate what you are already doing well, it will also help you to identify areas of your practice or provision that you may want to develop further. Most importantly it will help you support babies and young children to receive the highest quality experiences.
