The Youth at Risk Strategy for B&NES sets out a vision that children and young people should be free from the risks faced predominantly beyond the home environment in both the physical and the virtual, online world. The sub headings below will give more information about each of the 6 broad areas of risk.
Child Sexual Exploitation
Sexual exploitation of children and young people under 18 involves exploitative situations, contexts and relationships where young people (or a third person or persons) receive 'something' as a result of them performing and/ or another or others performing on them, sexual activities.
