We run training events for schools, social workers and carers throughout the school year.

Our training programme for the school year 2012-2013 is being planned now so do return to this page in September for full details.  Events currently planned are:

 Education Conference for Foster Carers and Adopters  Wednesday October 24^th 2012  10.00am to 2.30pm  Fry’s Conference Centre Keynsham

This conference is being run by the Virtual Schools for Children in Care for Bath and North East Somerset and South Gloucestershire. 

Come along and find out about how you can support your child’s education.  There will be general sessions applicable to all ages as well as workshops for different phases.  Topics will include:

• Early Years
• Primary – supporting literacy and numeracy
• Managing transitions between schools
• Secondary – helping with homework and revision
• Post 16 – what’s next?

This will also be a great chance to get together with other carers and adopters, share your experiences and to network with each other.

Bath Spa University Professional Master’s Programme - Work-Based Action Enquiry: Attachment and Learning

 This Master’s level course on attachment will involve face-to-face, interactive sessions and an individual, supported project. It is a 30 credit, Level 7 module. It is possible to ‘top-up’ to gain an additional 30 credits and thus attain a PGCert in Vulnerable Learners and Inclusion.  For more details here.  (Insert hyperlink to flier)
