Bath and North East Somerset is noted worldwide for its historic built environment and the beauty of its countryside, but in addition it offers a combination of strengths for business.

Bath is a World Heritage City set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is, however, also an important business centre and home to vibrant high technology and multi-media businesses. Bath itself is the focus of on-going regeneration and has been identified by central Government as one of four Enterprise Areas in the West of England meaning it will be the focus of further significant inward investment over the next decade.  For more detail on Bath's vibrant and surprising economy, please click here.

In the South of the District, the Somer Valley which includes Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Westfield, Paulton and Peasedown, has a rich industrial heritage which sits comfortably alongside modern business parks which house sophisticated printing and packaging companies and advanced engineering and electronics businesses.  View the exciting regeneration schemes for both Midsomer Norton and Radstock via these pages.

To the West the beautiful Chew Valley offers a variety of leisure opportunities and in the Avon Valley the historic market town of Keynsham offers good motorway links as an attraction to new investment.  Again, Keynsham is the focus of huge regeneration investment which will see the town transformed in the next three to five years.

It is this combination of natural, historical and contemporary business strengths that will be built upon in the coming years in order to advance the area's overall reputation as a vibrant commercial centre offering a high quality of life.  This will be further enhanced by the Bristol and Bath Inward Investment Service.  Find out more about Bath and North East Somerset's context in the West of England here and link to the inward investment service website via www.bristolandbath.co.uk
