Asbestos

A maximum of three sheets of cement bonded asbestos or bonded asbestos downpipe / guttering (max 6ft x 3ft) is accepted per residential property within the district.

Due to the hazardous nature of this material, you will need to contact Council Connect to book an agreed disposal time giving at least 24 hours notice to ensure there is sufficient capacity within the sealed containers to accept asbestos cement, (for Saturday or Sunday disposal only the Bath Recycling Centre is available for bookings). All asbestos waste must be double bagged before being brought to the site.

For further advice on dealing with asbestos, contact our Public Protection Team

If you have more than 3 sheets / downpipe you will need to contact a specialist private contractor to arrange safe disposal.
