Supporting the local economy
As a Council we are working to support & develop the local economy during the economic recession. We continue to seek Government funding for new projects, including the rebuilding and remodelling of local schools, which will bring about employment. We are also working to make the case to Government for sustantial investment in transport, housing and economic development and regeneration.
We continue to work with local businesses and developers to help them bring forward new ideas and create employment opportunities.
