Brownfield Register 2019
Bath & North East Somerset Council is required to publish a register of brownfield land. Further information about this requirement and the register can be found on the Department for Communities and Local Government’s Planning Practice Guidance: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/brownfield-land-registers
The 2018 register is below, in the prescribed formats. The register will be updated at least annually.
To meet the requirement for 3* open data, the register is published in ‘csv’ format. It is also published in ‘xlsx’ format:
The Brownfield Register can also be accessed via the the Council's ‘My Maps’ function, or directly via this link (found within the Planning Map in the Development Plan category).
To use the 'My Maps' service, once opened, to view the Brownfield Register:
- select 'Planning' from the 'Show Map' menu in the top-left corner
- select 'Show Map Categories' further down the left-hand side of the screen
- select 'Planning Constraints' and then the sub-category 'Brownfield Register 2018' to view the data
