Improving safety for pedestrians on Tunley Road

Previously, residents to the west of Tunley had no pedestrian footway on this section of road to enable them to walk safely in to Tunley village. The Parish Council and people living here had great concerns about the dangers of the road leading to lack of connectivity for the community. Under a full road closure for a six week period from 25 July 2016, Bath & North East Somerset Council constructed 410m of new footway to give residents a safe route to local facilities.
