The West of England Rental Standard was launched on the 5th January 2016 and provides a single badge of endorsement for existing accreditation schemes.

Organisations who accredit landlords and agents are being encouraged to apply to be endorsed accreditation providers. 

Landlords are encouraged to ensure that their properties meet current legal standards and follow good practice by applying to join a landlords association which is endorsed by the West of England Rental Standard.  Landlords cannot join the scheme direct but on joining an endorsed provider will be able to display the logo and demonstrate to their tenants they are following good practice.

The West of England Rental Scheme Standard is also available for all landlords and agents to use as guidance on good practice regardless of whether they are part of an endorsed accreditation scheme or not.
