Recorded surface water flood incidents 2009-2014
Bath & North East Somerset Council has carried out an analysis of recorded surface water, ground water and ordinary watercourse flooding incidents between 2009 and 2014. You can view these incidents on our Surface Water Management Plan Interactive Map of Local Flood Incidents (PDF).
AA advice
Here is some good advice by the AA, to be aware of the dangers of traveling through a ford.
With winter coming and the weather getting worse we advise for all road users to be extra careful even on road you know well.
It can take as little as 6 inches to knock you off your feet and only a foot of water to move a family sized car.
In bad weather plan journeys and inform some one of time of arrival
If in any doubt on the depth do not drive through any water
