Bath Park & Ride

I want to use Park & Ride – what’s available?

There are three Park & Ride sites within Bath & North East Somerset operated by this Council.

All services operate from 6.15am to 8.30pm Mondays to Saturdays (not Bank Holidays) and from 9.30am to 6.00pm Sundays (and certain Bank Holidays). Please note that Service 42 from Odd Down to RUH does not operate on Saturdays or Sundays.
Services do not operate on 25th or 26th December, 1st January, or Easter Sunday.

Buses to the City Centre run every 10 – 15 minutes and are wheelchair accessible.

Can I take animals on the buses?

The carriage of animals on the park & ride services is governed by the Conditions of Carriage of the operator.

All buses are required to permit users with assistance dogs to use the services.  In all other cases the carriage of animals is entirely at the discretion of the driver.

Which service is nearest to where I live?

View the Park and Ride leaflet to find out which service is best for you.

Which services takes me to where I want to get to?

Each service picks up and drops off at different points within Bath. You may wish to consider where you want to go in Bath when deciding which service to use.

How do the Park & Ride services differ?

All Bath & North East Somerset Council Park & Ride services to Bath City Centre operate the same hours. The service to the Royal United Hospital runs to a different timetable.

Each Park & Ride site has different parking capacity and height restrictions.

Do any of the services travel to locations other than Bath City Centre?

Bath & North East Somerset and the Royal United Hospital (RUH) launched a Service in June 2003 which utilises the Odd Down Park and Ride side to provide a quick and easy, cost effective service to the hospital.

What time are the gates locked at the Park & Ride sites?

Due to 'Alligator Teeth' having now been installed at both the Lansdown and Odd Down sites, the exits to all three Park & Ride sites remain unlocked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, we advise owners to remove their vehicles from the site by 9pm -please see advice below.

Can I leave my car at one of the Park & Ride sites overnight?

We do not recommend that you leave your vehicle overnight at any of the Park & Ride sites. The sites are not patrolled at night, and you leave your vehicle there at entirely your own risk. Return /group bus tickets are only valid on the day of purchase so an extra ticket may be required if you return to your vehicle on a different day.

Can I park my mobile home or other large vehicle at the Park & Ride sites?

There is a height restriction in place at two of the Park & Ride sites:

  • Odd Down Park & Ride: 7.2ft / 2.18m
  • Newbridge Park & Ride 6.6ft / 1.98m
  • Landsdown Park & Ride is unrestricted

Are there toilets at the Park & Ride sites?

Yes there are toilets at all three sites. The toilets are all fully accessible and coin operated.
