Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close temporarily to vehicles that length of the A4 Bath Road, (Keynsham By Pass) Keynsham extending from but not including its junction with the A4174 and Durley Hill to but not including its junction with the B3116 Bath Road and Broadmead Lane.


 


This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to facilitate establishment and removal of contraflow on A4 Bath Road, (Keynsham By-Pass) required for works to Durley Lane Bridge and vehicle restraint barriers along A4 Bath Road (Keynsham By-Pass) in the carriageway and will be operative on 23rd March 2015 for a maximum period of nine months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be 4 nights (non-consecutive) between 01:00 hours and 06:00 hours.


 


ALTERNATIVE ROUTE


 


A4175 Durley Hill – A4175 Bristol Road – B3116 High Street – B3116 Bath Hill – B3116 Bath Road and vice versa.
