The weather forecast anticipates that there will be no further significant snowfall for the time being. However, there is a danger of ice on the road network because road surface temperatures tonight could reach as low at -8c with air temperatures at -5c. Drivers on the road overnight tonight and the rest of the weekend are advised to drive with care and the icy conditions in mind.
Following last night’s snow, gritting operations will return to normal for dealing with the forecast conditions over the weekend.
All Snow Wardens are being given regular updates of the weather forecast so that they can make any necessary preparations. Residents can find out about their local Snow Warden scheme here: www.bathnes.gov.uk/snowwardens
