1. The Bath & North East Somerset Local Plan
(including minerals & waste policies) sets out the Council’s
planning policies and proposals up to 2011. Once adopted, it will
supersede existing local plans covering the District including the
Wansdyke Local Plan and the Bath Local Plan.
2. The Deposit Draft version of the Local Plan
was placed on deposit for a six week period between 18 January and
28 February 2002 and attracted over 4,000 representations from
around 1,600 organisations and individuals. All of these
representations were considered by the Council on 17th
July 2003.
3. Various revisions have been made to the Local
Plan in response to the representations. Additional revisions have
arisen from consideration of the Sustainable Development Appraisal
of the Local Plan and also from the need to take account of new
information and changes in national or local policy. Under delegated
arrangements agreed at Council on 17th July 2003, a
limited number of further minor changes have also been agreed to the
Local Plan and these are incorporated in this list.
4. The Revised Deposit Draft of the Bath & North East
Somerset Local Plan was published in October 2003 and was placed on
deposit for 6 weeks from 31 October to 11th December 2003
for public comment.
5. Regulation 24 (5) of the Town & Country
Planning (Development Plan) Regulations 1999 requires that the
Revised Deposit Local Plan is accompanied by a list of ‘List of
Revisions’. The Revised Deposit Draft and the List of Revisions
are available for inspection at the following locations;
Throughout the List some common abbreviations
