‘The Destination Management Plan’ examines the issues that face Bath & North East Somerset as a visitor destination within a changing tourism market.

The World Heritage site for Bath has been particularly successful in terms of visitor numbers however, the Council  is particularly concerned to ensure that the benefits are shared with all providers of attractions and accommodation in the administrative area and in neighbouring authorities.

Within the ‘Destination Management Plan’ the ‘Accommodation Study’ considers the number of existing beds in the market, the levels of frustrated demand and potential for growth.

In the first stage of the consultation we are happy to hear any general comments on the documents, or comments on the changes in the “market place” which might date the evidence base in the study.

Stakeholder events will be held in order to secure input from the whole accommodation sector. The first such event is being organised with the Bath Independent Guest Houses Association (BIGHA)”
