Bath & North East Somerset Council - Discovery Card

Discovery Card

Launch of the Discovery Card at the Roman Baths

Welcome!

As a resident of Bath and North East Somerset, you are entitled to free entry to the Roman Baths and Fashion Museum, every day, all the year round.  The two museums are open daily throughout the year, except 25 and 26 December. You simply need to show your Discovery Card to receive free entry.  The Victoria Art Gallery, also run by Bath and North East Somerset Council, is free to everyone.

The Resident's Discovery Card makes it simple and easy for local residents to visit their Council-run museums free of charge.  It is available at no cost to you and can be used as proof of residency at the two museums.  The Discovery Card is available from the Roman Baths main entrance hall, Guildhall Council Connect, Riverside in Keynsham and The Hollies in Midsomer Norton and is valid for three years.  After this time you can renew the card for another three years at any of the three locations.

Your Resident's Discovery Card is also recognised in a range of independent heritage attractions in the Bath & North East Somerset area that provide discounted or free entry to local residents.  Where else can you use your card?  A wide range of attractions and organisations are participating, click the link on the right (Where you can use it).

New applications and renewals: you can download the application form here, if you have a program on your computer that will display rich text format (.rtf), such as MS Word. To download click on the link to the right.

When renewing, please bring with you proof that you are still living in Bath & North East Somerset, eg a recent Council Tax bill.  You can renew at either the Roman Baths in Bath, The Guildhall in Bath, The Hollies in Midsomer Norton or Riverside, Temple Street in Keynsham.   On Friday 18th May, the point in the Guildhall will close.  As from Monday 21st May, the new point will open in the One Stop Shop, 3-4 Manvers Street, Bath (opposite Bath Police Station).

If you are not a resident of Bath & North East Somerset, you can apply for a Three Year Season Ticket, which has virtually the same benefits as the Resident's Discovery Card.
