Working together for health & wellbeing

The Health and wellbeing partnership conprises NHS Bath and North east Somerset (NHS banes PCT) and Bath and North East Somerset (banes) Council working together in partnership.

Home Care

We aim to help people to live as independently as possible and are able to provide help with essential daily tasks to people within their own homes, where they are unable to manage safely themselves

The majority of people who receive home care in Bath & North East Somerset are served by one of a number of registered care providers with whom the Council has a contract to provide services on its behalf.

If you do not receive a home care service at the moment, but would like to, you will first need to ask for an assessment of your needs from the Social Services Adult Care Team.  If eligible, you may be allocated an independent provider.  The same quality standards and safeguards apply to all providers.

To ask for an assessment of your needs, please contact the Community and Health Access Team on 01225 396000.  For further detail about assessments and eligibility for services, please read A Handy Guide To Community Care.
