Midsomer Norton & Radstock Town Service
Who can use the Town Service?
Registered members who are elderly or have a mobililty or communication problem. You can use the service to travel to a number of destinations for whatever you need to do, such as doctor appointments, shopping, social trips to visit relatives and friends, lunch clubs and libraries.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, you can bring a companion with you if you feel their support is needed.
When does the service operate?
9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
How much will it cost?
Single Fare £2, Return £3 plus an annual registration of £5. Diamond Travelcard holders are entitled to a 50% reduction.

Yes if you need help to travel.

How do I register?
People wishing to use the service must first register with the scheme.
This involves completing a simple registration form.
The Dial-a-Ride leaflet (complete with registration form) is available:

BOOKING INFORMATION
When does the service operate?
The service operates between 8.15am and 4.15pm from Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays.
How much does it cost?
There is an annual membership fee of £5. A return journey costs £4 and a single journey costs £3. Diamond Travelcard holders are entitiled to a 50% reduction.
How do I book a journey?
Once your registration is confirmed by post, telephone the booking line between 9.30am and 3pm (3pm-5pm answer phone) as soon as possible but no later than the day before the booking.

All Monday bookings must be made on the previous Friday.
When you book your journey...
- Don’t forget to book your return journey if needed.
- Please state appointment times if appropriate.
- Please be ready 10 minutes before your journey time.
Please note:
We do our best to meet all requests. However we do operate on a first come, first served basis.
- We may ask you to alter your desired journey times slightly.
- We reserve the right to refuse or defer an application for registration, to ask for additional information in support of an application or to cancel any existing registration.
- All wheelchairs must be risk assessed by us before we can transport you.
