These pages provide information on Dial-a-Ride services within Bath & North East Somerset.
| What are Dial-a-Ride services?
These services are fully accessible door to door minibus services aimed at those who can not use conventional public transport.
Residents can phone for an appointment and a low floor, fully accessible bus will come and pick them up from their front doors making previously difficult journeys to the doctors, dentists or the shops, for example, much easier. |
Where do the Dial-a-Ride services operate?
There are three dial-a-ride services.
The Keynsham & District Dial-a-Ride service started in 2003 and operates for residents in the Keynsham area. It has recently expanded its service to the villages immediately south of Keynsham and Saltford.
The Midsomer Norton and Radstock Dial-a-Ride service was launched in November 2004 and operates for residents in the Midsomer Norton and Radstock area. The service has expanded to include the Chew Valley and areas north, north east and north west of Midsomer Norton.
The Bath Dial-a-Ride service was launched in October 2006 and serves the city of Bath. Transport to hospital appointments cannot be guaranteed and limited to Dial-a-Ride members only.
