Integrated Working

Welcome to the Bath and North East Somerset Children’s Trust Integrated Working pages

Integrated Working can be defined as:

Where everyone supporting children and young people work together effectively to put the child at the centre, meet their needs and improve their lives. (Children’s Workforce Development Council).

Integrated working helps to:

  • Identify needs earlier
  • Deliver a co-ordinated package of support with the child/young person at its centre
  • Help secure better outcomes for the child/young person

On these pages, you will find local and national information about the processes which support integrated working:

Integrated practice – that is, people talking to each other, linking their work together, having one plan for each child, each service or school contributing their skills to a plan, with an identified member of staff co-ordinating that work is central to ensuring better outcomes for children and young people.
