Family Support

There is lots of support available for children and families in Bath and North East Somerset. Some of it is provided by a Specialist Child and Family Support Team, who offer intensive support for families so that every child can have the best possible start in life. They aim to prevent difficult situations from getting worse by working together with you and your family, building on your existing skills and family strengths. They provide advice and support on the many issues, including:

  • Positive parenting
  • Routines and boundaries
  • Family relationships
  • Building confidence and self-esteem
  • Behaviour management
  • Managing feelings
  • Domestic violence
  • Budgeting
  • Play
