The Health and wellbeing partnership conprises NHS Bath and North east Somerset (NHS banes PCT) and Bath and North East Somerset (banes) Council working together in partnership.

Voluntary Sector Funding

Funding is available for:
 
Youth Service

The Service facilitates a source of funding that the Government has identified for the financial years 2008/9, 2009/10 and 2010/11. The Youth Opportunity and Capital Funds of approx £170,000 per annum are funds that are available to bids made by young people aged 13-19. The young people should apply directly to Youth Bank in Bath and N.E. Somerset on youth_bank@bathnes.gov.uk or 01761 300302 / 300304.

Active Leisure

Support for Sport and Active Leisure groups in the form of revenue and ‘minor capital’ grants are available throughout the year (subject to budget availability).  Applicants wishing to apply for apply grants under £5,000 should not use the funding application packs, but should contact Active Leisure for more advice.

In addition to the grants programme Active Leisure are also able to provide an advisory and support service for application to the National Lottery Sports Fund. Early contact is advisable for projects to be planned and developed within the relevant criteria.

Children’s Play

Support is available for the running of holiday play schemes in specific areas across the Authority. The assessment of applications will be made against set service criteria.

Education: Initiatives for Minority Ethnic Groups

Support is available for the development of supplementary schooling in mother tongue languages, anti-racist training and education, and to develop partnership work with parents and carers.

Independent Museums

Support is available to assist with staffing and running costs, commissioned to achieve agreed outcomes. Applications will be assessed against service criteria for museums in the district.

Support is available to help create, develop and operate schemes that supplement mainstream public transport.

Umbrella Groups

Funding is provided to support the activities of voluntary sector umbrella groups with networking, advisory, information and training functions across the voluntary sector as a whole or which cover groups who have a “community of interest” e.g. equality groups.
